Fairfield Kohl's, Car Wash Sold For $12.5 Million
The department store has occupied the Tunxis Hill Road location for 20 years and the car wash has been at its site since 1964.

FAIRFIELD, CT ā Three commercial parcels were recently sold for $12.5 million in Fairfield, including the local Kohl's location, according to a news release. The approximately 100,000-square-foot department store site at 290 Tunxis Hill Road was purchased along with Russell Speeder's Car Wash at 620 Villa Ave. and a roughly 1-acre parking lot on Greenfield Street.
The department store has occupied the Tunxis Hill Road parcel for 20 years. Over the past 60 years, the site has been home to Caldor, Arlan's and Pathmark Food Store. Russell Speeder's Car Wash has been at the Villa Avenue location since 1964, first under the name Villa Avenue Car Wash, and has a long-term lease.
Bruce Wettenstein of commercial real estate company Vidal/Wettenstein LLC oversaw transaction negotiations for owner Tunxis Associates LLC.
