Fairfield Little League Team Wins State Championship

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield National Little League's 11D team are state champions. The team defeated Simsbury 4-1 last week in East Lyme to win the title, according to a post on the Fairfield National Little League website. Fairfield National were 13-1 throughout the tournament and their victory Thursday means the team will represent Connecticut in the Regional Tournament of Champions, which starts Tuesday in Beverly, Massachusetts.
