Fairfield Ludlowe Cheer Wins State

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Ludlowe cheer team recently ended its season on a high note, finishing first in the state tournament and second at New England regionals.

The Falcons won the co-ed category of the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Cheerleading Championships, beating out 10 other teams March 5, with a score of 188.7. The victory allowed the team to maintain its championship status after coming in first in 2020, when the competition was last held.

By placing in the top three at state, the team qualified for the New England Spirit Championship in Worcester, Massachusetts, where the Falcons took second place, scoring 194.1.
