Fairfield Man Accused Of Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material: Police

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield police arrested a 19-year-old Fairfield resident Thursday on a warrant charging him with first-degree possession of child sexual abuse material, a felony.

Jayden Oliva was held in lieu of a court-set bond of $150,000, and he is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Bridgeport Superior Court, according to police.

The investigation began after the Connecticut Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received CyberTips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about the upload of suspected child sexual abuse material to a social media platform, Fairfield police said.

Working with the Stamford Police Department, Fairfield detectives identified Oliva as the person responsible, according to police.

Detectives later executed search warrants during the investigation and found Oliva in possession of numerous images and videos of apparent child sexual abuse material, according to police.

Additional details about elements of the case were not disclosed.

The investigation involved the Fairfield Police Department, the Connecticut Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Stamford Police Department.
