Fairfield Man Arrested In High-Speed Bridgeport Shootout: Report

The shootout occurred on Booth Street in Bridgeport on Feb. 8, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 20-year-old Fairfield man was arrested on a warrant Wednesday in connection with a two-vehicle, high-speed shootout in Bridgeport on Feb. 8, reported the Connecticut Post.

Jorge Carrion, one of the two drivers who were firing gunshots at one another, was charged with:

  • First-degree assault
  • Unlawful discharge of a firearm
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Carrying a pistol without a permit

More than a dozen bullets were reportedly fired in the shootout, which occurred at about 10 p.m. on Booth Street.

Police found the bullet-riddled vehicle they believe Carrion was driving, but the driver of the other vehicle has not yet been found.

Carrion was arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court on Wednesday, and remains in custody in lieu of bail of $500,000. His next court date is March 16.
