MILFORD, CT — A Fairfield man faces several charges in Milford after he stole a computer from a driver who had stopped to help him, broke into a car dealership and led police on a foot chase, according to law enforcement.
A driver stopped Saturday to aid a stranded motorist near Boston Post Road and Bridgeport Avenue, when the motorist — Omar Rodriguez, 31, of Sunset Avenue in Fairfield — reached into the driver's car, grabbed a laptop and took off on foot, according to a press release from Milford police. Rodriguez then broke into Dan Perkins Subaru, and when police were called to the scene, he ran away but was ultimately arrested, police said.
Rodriguez was charged with burglary, larceny, interfering with a police officer and criminal mischief, according to the news release. His bond was set at $5,000 and he was due in court Monday.
