Fairfield Man Charged In Hit-And-Run Crash That Hurt Pedestrian
The crash reportedly occurred early Saturday morning in Norwalk.
NORWALK, CT — A 32-year-old man suffered facial injuries early Saturday in Norwalk when he was struck by a car driven by a suspected drunken driver who fled the scene but was later caught, writes the Connecticut Post.
The victim was treated at Norwalk Hospital following the 2:20 a.m. crash on North Main Street, and the injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
Police were able to track down the damaged car based on a description and apprehend the driver, who authorities said appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Arrested was 37-year-old Fairfield resident Cameron Davis, of Rock Major Road, who was charged with the following:

- Second-degree assault with a motor vehicle
- Evading responsibility in a crash with injuries
- Driving under the influence
- Failure to display lights
He was held in lieu of bail of $25,000 and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 8.
