Fairfield Man Driving BMW Nearly Hits Bicyclist, Arrested on DUI, Drug Charges: Report
Witnesses called police to report a man driving recklessly on Fairfield Woods Road.

A Fairfield man was arrested on several charges after witnesses called police to report the BMW he was driving went over a curb, swerved into oncoming traffic and nearly hit a bicyclist on Fairfield Woods Road at about 5 p.m. on Friday, July 3, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports James B. Davis, 30, of Brooklawn Parkway, admitted to police that he had four or five beers and had taken half of a Xanax that he had a prescription for.
Police found that Davis was in possession of a prescription bottle that contained three pills that weren’t Xanax, three straws with a white powder residue, and a small jar that also had a white powder residue, according to the Citizen.

Police took Davis into custody after he failed field sobriety tests, according to the Citizen.
