The man is accused of trying to eat marijuana to hide it from police after being pulled over for driving erratically.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 26-year-old Fairfield man is accused of trying to eat marijuana to hide it from police during a traffic stop, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports police responded to a complaint about a car being driven erratically and Daniel Chris, of Vermont Avenue, was arrested after officers found 2.59 grams of marijuana in the car.

Police said that more marijuana fell out of Chris’ sleeve and he had green leafy particles on his lips and refused to open his mouth and began chewing. The officer forced Chris’ mouth open after a second request was denied, according to the Citizen.
