Fairfield Man Faces DUI Charges After Allegedly Crashing Into Several Cars, Leaving Scene

Fairfield police have arrested John G. Rogers, 58, on drunk driving charges in connection with a Sept. 17 incident in which his car allegedly crashed into several vehicles and he left the scene, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports that Rogers’ blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit. He was arrested on a warrant and charged with three counts of driving under the influence, four counts of evading responsibility and one count each of failure to drive right and failure to obey traffic control signs. He was held in lieu of a $50,000.

Rogers, an Old Stratfield Road resident, allegedly hit three different vehicles on Sept. 17, including one on his street, and left the scene of each accident and police located him at his home and he was taken to an area hospital due to his level of intoxication, according to the Citizen.
