FAIRFIELD, CT — During an argument with his wife over a broken pool filter, a 57-year-old Fairfield man poured detergent on her Monday night, according to police.
The man, Kevin Dmowski, also allegedly disconnected the phone at their Hurd Street home so his wife could not call the police, reports the Fairfield Citizen. His wife then walked to the nearby police station to turn him in, they said.
Dmowski was charged with interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct and interfering with emergency calls, writes reporter Genevieve Reilly. He was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on July 19. The status of his case was not immediately known.
