Fairfield Man Seriously Injured In Motorcycle Crash: Police
Dispatchers received a call Saturday night reporting a man screaming for help, according to police.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield man was seriously injured Saturday after he lost control of his motorcycle, according to police. Dispatchers received a call at 9:57 p.m. reporting a man screaming for help near Osborne Hill and Wormwood roads, a Fairfield Police Department news release stated. When officers responded to the area, they found a motorcycle collision had occurred in the 200 block of Osborne Hill Road.
The driver was traveling west on a 1979 Honda CX-500C when he lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and hit a stone wall, according to the news release. Police found him down an embankment with a serious leg injury. The driver was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. His injuries were not life-threatening, police stated.
The case is under investigation by the department's crash reconstruction unit.
