Fairfield Man Stops Porch Pirate: Police

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield homeowner interrupted a porch pirate Wednesday, police said. The man called authorities to report that a person had tried to steal packages about 2:45 p.m. from his porch in the 700 block of Judd Street, according to police. The homeowner told law enforcement that he had video of the incident and had stopped the person from taking the packages, police said, adding the thief may have left in a Honda CRV.
