FAIRFIELD, CT — To celebrate Connecticut Museum Day, the Fairfield Museum will offer free admission Wednesday during regular hours.

Visitors also may attend the museum's March History Bites program free of charge from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Anthony Wellman will be giving an illustrated tour of the Columbia phonograph and record factories from over 120 years ago. Wellman will also be doing a live demonstration of how sound recordings were made in the early days. Event attendees who would like to do so will be able to participate in a live recording session just as conducted a century ago. Feel free to bring a musical instrument, sing, or just sit back and enjoy the show. Attendees can bring a lunch. Light snacks will be provided.

The museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 370 Beach Road. For more information, go to www.fairfieldhistory.org.
