FAIRFIELD – At approximately 11:09 AM on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, the Bridgeport Police Department notified the Fairfield Police Department that they were behind a vehicle wanted for an incident in their City and that they were entering Fairfield via North Avenue in Bridgeport. After traveling approximately 800 feet into Fairfield, the suspect vehicle collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Tunxis Hill Cutoff and Villa Avenue.

The occupants of both vehicles sustained injuries and were transported to area hospitals. The operator of the suspect vehicle is currently listed in serious condition at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center. The other operator is believed to be in stable condition. Fairfield Officers located a firearm within the suspect vehicle and secured the scene.
Fairfield Police are conducting a crash investigation for this incident.
