FAIRFIELD, CT —Fairfield Police said they are aware of posts on social media platforms such as TikTok regarding threats towards schools on Friday, Dec. 17.

"However, given the worries that these types of threats naturally evoke, the Fairfield Police Department will increase its presence at schools in Fairfield tomorrow," police said in a news release. "In addition, we are closely monitoring social media. Chief Kalamaras has been in communication with Superintendent Cummings and First Selectwoman Kupchick to ensure any concerns are addressed and that our students, staff and residents are safe."
