Fairfield Police Investigating Theft of Copper Pipes That Caused Home to Flood

The house was vacant at the time of the burglary.

Fairfield police are investigating the theft of several thousands of dollars worth of copper piping that was stolen from a rental home on Unquowa Road, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports that the theft took place between 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb 24 and 12 noon on Wednesday, Feb. 25 and the home was vacant at the time.

The basement was flooded with several inches of water as a result of the theft, according to the Post.
