Fairfield Police Stats: 4,000 Service Calls, 20 Criminal Arrests in June

Fairfield Police release the department's crime report, including service calls, traffic stops and other data, for June 2016.

Fairfield, CT — The Fairfield Police Department responded to 4,011 total calls for service and made 20 criminal arrests in June, according to the department’s recently released crime report for June 2016.

Of the 20 criminal arrests, 18 were for larceny and one each for assault and robbery. The department made 53 criminal arrests in May and had 29 in June 2015, according to the report.

The department responded to 4,011 total calls for service in June, compared to 4,397 in May, with business checks representing the most common calls with 1,135.

Business checks were followed by EMS calls with 377, then alarms at 250 and 241 investigations. Of the 250 alarm checks, 236 were false alarms, according to the report.

Fairfield Police responded to 219 motor vehicle accidents in June, which is the same number as June 2015 and eight less than May 2016, according to the report.
