Fairfield Prep Dominates All-SCC Lacrosse Teams
Nine Jesuits named to either the first- or second-team, headed by Brendan Rotanz and Griff McGoldrick
Nine members of Fairfield Prep's lacrosse team have been honored by the Southern Connecticut Conference.
Named to the league's first team were: attackmen Brendan Rotanz and Griff McGoldrick, midfielders Mike Carey and Tyler Cox; and defensemen Darric White and Alex Matarazzo.
Earning second-team honors were attackman Connor Byrne, long stick midfield Kevin Maiorano and short stick defensive midfielder Tom Intrieri.

Fairfield Prep lost to Cheshire, 9-8, in the CIAC Class L championship game, denying the Jesuits a fifth consecutive state title.

Max Freccia and Connor Marr. Marr also was named to the District II team that will compete in the CHSCA All-Star series starting on Wednesday at Plainville High School.
BOYS TENNIS

Singles: Tom O'Brien (Fairfield Prep), Ryan Carr (Fairfield Prep). O'Brien reached the Class LL singles final, losing to Staples' Daniel Hirschberg, and Carr has advanced to the quarterfinals of the state Open tournament.
