Prep Soccer Remains Unbeaten Under First-Year Coach Lyddy
Ranked eighth in state, Jesuits blank Amity, 2-0, to improve to 7-0-3

Pat Connolly and Jamal Powell scored goals Tuesday as the Fairfield Prep soccer team remained undefeated under first-year coach Ryan Lyddy with a 2-0 victory over Amity Regional in Woodbridge.
Lyddy, who took over for longtime coach Bruce Jaffe, has guided the Jesuits to a 7-0-3 record and a No. 8 ranking in the state coaches' assciation large school poll.
Davie Burton had an assist for the Jesuits, who out-shot the winless Spartans, 12-2.

James Shea made only two saves for Fairfield Prep, which hosts Xavier in a Southern Connecticut Conference showdown on Friday at Alumni Field (3:45 p.m.).
Xavier improved to 7-1 with a 4-1 victory over Sheehan on Tuesday. The Falcons' only loss was a 2-0 defeat to Fairfield Prep in Middletown.
