Fairfield Public Notice: Upcoming CT Department Of Transportation Project

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) will mill and pave a section of US 1 in Southport. The project area covers US 1 in Fairfield between the Westport Town Line and Kings Lane. The DOT will also be paving in Westport.

The tentative start date for the MILLING portion of this project is scheduled for the night of Sunday, May 17, 2020, and will continue for approximately five (5) nights of work ending the morning of Friday, May 22, 2020.

The tentative start date for the PAVING portion of this project is scheduled for the night of Sunday, June 7, 2020, and will continue for approximately six (6) nights of work ending the morning of Tuesday, June 15, 2020.

For both portions of this project the work hours will be from 7:00 p.m. through 5:30 a.m. each night of work.

*NOTE: Adjustments to this schedule will be necessary due to inclement weather.
