Information from Matthew Waggner, one of Fairfield's Registrar of Voters. In a message to Patch Monday afternoon, Cathy Politi, Fairfield's other Registrar of Voters, said she was not made aware of the news release before its publication, and she does not have access to the website listed below.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Registrar of Voters Office will be designating locations for Fairfield voters to use for Early Voting in this year's elections, and is requesting public suggestions for sites that are convenient, accessible, and suitable for voting.

Early Voting is a new service being offered in every town this year, allowing voters to cast their ballots in the weeks leading up to each election and primary. We conducted early voting in Old Town Hall in our recent low-turnout Presidential Primary, and are considering other sites for the higher-turnout events in November and August. The office has contacted a number of organizations and agencies already, but also want to consider neighborhood and community sites that we might have missed. If residents know of facilities that they would recommend as a voting location, we'd ask that you contact us to share your suggestions, and we can reach out to see their interest in hosting an Early Voting location.

Early Voting will be held on:

  • August 5th to 11th (10am to 6pm, with 8am to 8pm hours on 8/6 and 8/8)
  • October 21st to November 3rd (10am to 6pm, with 8am to 8pm hours on 10/29 and 10/31)

Sites that we consider must be available for the full period of early voting, and we will conduct a survey to evaluate possible locations for ADA accessibility, parking availability, internet / phone service, and other site requirements.
