Fairfield, CT – September 18, 2025 – Now that the Board of Selectmen has set the date for the Special Election for First Selectman, the Fairfield Republican Town Committee fully embraces the February 3rd election date and will present our positive campaign to the people of Fairfield throughout the coming months. We know that Senator Tony Hwang looks forward to meeting with Fairfield residents and sharing his positive vision for the community as he campaigns for First Selectman. This special election provides an opportunity for voters to hear directly from Senator Hwang about the importance of professional management, fiscal responsibility, and restoring accountability to local government.

Fairfield needs a new administration that plans, safeguards taxpayer resources, and ensures essential services, like our police department, are never compromised, as has happened under the Gerber/Vitale administration. Running the town is an honor that must be approached with humility, transparency, and respect for the public trust.

We look forward to offering voters that kind of forward-thinking leadership, both in this November’s elections and again in February.
