FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield resident Ward Horton has landed his first starring role on television, playing a doctor with some “mystery” on the new CBS prime-time medical drama “Pure Genius,” according to the Connecticut Post.

"Pure Genius" is “all about pushing the boundaries of modern medicine, while also exploring the human desire to help improve the world,” according to its description on the CBS website.

“The series follows Dr. Walter Wallace (Dermot Mulroney), a disgraced but brilliant surgeon who is recruited by a young tech titan, James Bell (Augustus Prew), to help run his state-of-the-art treatment center, Bunker Hill,” via CBS.com. “However, Wallace soon finds out that Bell is harboring a secret, and the good doctor begins to question just what the young founder is really trying to achieve.”
