Fairfield Selectmen To Hold 2 Charter Revision Meetings This Week
The Board of Selectmen is deliberating over proposed changes to the Town Charter.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Board of Selectmen will continue its deliberations of proposed changes to the Town Charter during two Special Meetings scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick announced.
Monday's meeting is set for 3 p.m., while Tuesday's meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Both meetings will be held in-person in the first-floor Conference Room in Independence Hall in the Fairfield Town Hall complex, and will also be available online via Webex.
The agenda for Monday's meeting reads, "Continuation of Board of Selectmen to propose and review Board of Selectmen recommendations for further consideration by the Charter Revision Commission."

Tuesday's agenda can be viewed by clicking here, which includes a draft of the resolution. In an email to residents, Kupchick wrote, "Another special BOS meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm for the BOS to hear, consider and act upon BOS recommendations for further consideration by the CRC."
The Board of Selectmen is considering several proposed changes to the charter, including the possible reduction in the number of Representative Town Meeting members from 40 to 30.
