Fairfield Store Boasts $30K Worth Of CT Lottery Scratch-Off Winners

The two lucky winners were from nearby communities, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield store recently sold two, separate winning lottery scratch-off tickets, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

Combined, the two tickets bought at News Express generated a total of $30,000 for the lucky winners, though the store at 200 Tunxis Hill Road did not sell either one to a local resident.

On Monday, Luz Flores Alnoffa claimed a winning "20X Cash 7th Edition" ticket worth $20,000, and on Wednesday, Fernando Casiano claimed a winning "200X" ticket worth $10,000.

The 20X Cash game, which costs $20 per ticket, began in August 2021, and as of Friday, 21 grand prizes of $20,000 remained unclaimed, and four second-place prizes of $10,000 were still unclaimed. More than 2.1 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.08.

As for the 200X game, which also costs $20 per ticket, it began in February, but its status has already been marked as "ending soon." On Friday, one grand prize of $1 million remained unclaimed, and two second-place prizes of $100,000 were still unclaimed.

There were also three unclaimed $10,000 prizes still outstanding. More than 2.4 million game tickets were printed, and the overall odds of winning were 1 in 3.21.
