FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Warde students are raising money for a good cause by selling “Fairfield Crewneck” shirts of their own design through a business they created.

Fairfield Fabrics is an entrepreneur business, created by students at Fairfield Warde High School and supported by the Fairfield Junior Achievement Program, which is designed to educate students about workforce, readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

“The class learns how to create their own job, and learn the skills it takes to grow our business,” said student Marcel Parsons, Vice President of Public Relations for the program. “The students are the people who run the business during and outside of class, with the teachers’ help on the side. They put all the lessons into action and learn the value of what it takes to manage our own.”

This semester, the class decided to design, produce, and sell their very own “Fairfield Crewneck.”

“The light gray cozy sweater, is sold at only $30! $300 of our sales are going to be donated to Operation Hope,” Parsons said. “This organization is very important to give back to, since the money would being going to those in need in our beloved community. By purchasing a sweater, you won’t just be comfortable in a Fairfield crewneck, but you'll be giving back to the community.”
