“Thank you for your patience with a challenging trek to school this morning. We wake up early and a team of people assesses the weather based on all known information. Ultimately, the decision is mine to make, and today I just got it wrong. This was a bad early morning snow call. The snow fell much faster than anticipated, and the temperatures dropped lower than expected. I can assure you this call was not based on concerns about extending the year or making up hours. My apologies to those of you who were in challenging travel situations this morning.
