Fairfield Teen, 17, Selected For Travelers Championship Event
The Fairfield Warde student was selected to participate in this year's Eversource PGA Tour Player Experience for Junior Golfers.

FAIRFIELD, CT — (Contributed article): She’s been playing golf for as long as she can remember. In fact, Bethany Fell was just a baby, in her car seat when she made her first trip to the golf course to watch her parents play. The Fairfield Warde High School junior earned herself a spot on the varsity golf team when she was a freshman and this week the 17-year-old was lucky enough to swing the clubs with some of golf’s elite players at the Travelers Championship. Fell was one of 40 golfers selected to participate in this year’s Eversource PGA TOUR Player Experience for Junior Golfers at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.
“To be able to play with the pros was incredible,” Fell said. “My goal is to play golf in college. What I learned with them will definitely help me improve my game and hopefully help me land a scholarship.”
Fell was chosen for the Player Experience based on a personal essay detailing her golf experience and how she could benefit from the opportunity to participate. In addition to playing with some of the pros, Bethany and the other chosen participants attended private golf clinics, a Q-and-A session with the elite players, and a dinner reception.
