Fairfield U Launches Community Initiative to Explore Local Food Scene
Fairfield Foodie Days Offers Promos for Students, Faculty, Staff & Alumni from April 16-18

Fairfield University students, faculty, staff, and alumni will have access to special food and drink promotions and discounts during Fairfield Foodie Days - April 16, 17, and 18 - at more than 30 establishments in town. The participating restaurants, cafes, shops, and stores cover most ethnic cuisines and everything from fried chicken and Belgian chocolate to Chinese takeout and cookies.
After the University learned that March and April are typically less busy times for food and drink establishments, they saw an opportunity to do something that would both help drive business, promote eating and shopping locally, and offering members of the Fairfield University community incentives to try even more of Fairfield’s food scene. “Fairfield is a large town and we want our University community to explore all it has to offer,” said Jennifer Anderson, vice president of marketing and communications for Fairfield University. “We are always adding new ways to connect with the community, participating in Town of Fairfield events and hosting our own public programming on our main campus and at The Fairfield University Store downtown. We hope to make Fairfield Foodie Days an annual event.”
