Fairfield University Bookstore Hosts Holiday Activities
The events for children and adults begin Thursday and run through Sunday.

The following announcement is from the Fairfield University Bookstore:
FAIRFIELD, CT — Holiday activities abound for children and adults of all ages during the Winter Wonderland Weekend festivities at the Fairfield University Bookstore downtown. Beginning with Shop & Stroll on Thursday, Dec. 8, over seven events are planned throughout the weekend of Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11. In addition to complimentary gift wrapping during the weekend, all events, crafting, giveaways, and author meet and greets are free to the public.
Thursday, Dec. 8
5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Fairfield Annual Shop & Stroll - a night of cider, cookies, and Fairfield U's Sweet Harmony Acapella Group. Stop in to hear live music, and enjoy some seasonal treats while shopping for friends and family’s gifts in the newly decorated aisles of the downtown bookstore.

Saturday, Dec. 10
12 p.m.
- Author Kitty Zeldis, writer of The Dressmaker of Prospect Heights
1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

- Reading and meet and greet with Mrs. Claus
- Appearance from Green Crayon Mascot with a reading of holiday favorite Green Is For Christmas
2 p.m.
- Lucas the Stag will join children and adults for photo opportunities in his best Santa suit
3 p.m.
- Local a cappella group Vocal Rewind will perform their Holiday Concert at 3 p.m.
- Garelick & Herbs gourmet marketplace will be offering festive cookie decorating classes
Sunday, Dec. 11
12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Famous balloon artist creating balloon giveaways
- Meet and greet with Author Matt Tavares, along with a reading of his book Dasher: How a Brave Little Doe Changed Christmas Forever
