Fairfield University Hosts Integrative Psychotherapy Trauma Training Program

From Fairfield University:Fairfield University’s Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies will host an Integrative Psychotherapy Trauma Training Program beginning September 23, 2017.

The nine-month certificate program for licensed mental health providers integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy with a somatic therapy, the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM). The program will provide advanced psychotherapy skills for working with those with complex trauma and dissociation.

The Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM) is based on the biology of resilience and how to restore balance to the body and the mind after traumatic experiences. Somatic Therapy combined with EMDR Therapy are powerful tools that can be integrated into any therapist’s practice. The program will include four workshops: Basic Training in EMDR Therapy Parts 1 and 2, and Trauma Resilience Model Parts 1 and 2.
There is a 25% discount for those who sign up for all 4 workshops (EMDR Part 1 & 2 plus TRM Part 1 & 2). These trainings are offered by recognized experts in trauma treatment.
Upon program completion, participants will receive a certificate in Advanced Integrative Trauma Psychotherapy from Fairfield University as well as certificates of completion for Basic Training in EMDR from EMDRIA and for the Trauma Resiliency Model from the Trauma Resource Institute. Each training includes five hours of post-training consultation by zoom. 25 CEUs are offered for each training.
