Fairfield Woman Charged With Assaulting Patient: Westport PD

WESTPORT, CT — Westport police said a Fairfield woman has been charged with allegedly assaulting a medical facility patient on May 8, 2016. Police said the patient suffered minor facial and head injuries as a result of the incident.

Police said the Fairfield Police Department advised officers Wednesday they had the suspect, 32-year-old Elizabeth Scoran, detained. She was subsequently transported to Westport headquarters, police said.

Police said an arrest warrant application for the suspect had been submitted and was granted. The suspect was released after posting $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7, police said.
