Woman Discovers 2 Men In Her Yard At Midnight: Fairfield Police

The woman arrived home just after midnight and found the men in the yard of her residence, according to police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield woman discovered two men in her backyard in the early morning hours of Sunday, according to police. The woman arrived home just after midnight and found the men in the yard of her Toilsome Hill Road residence, police said in a report.

The men fled east toward Park Avenue, according to the report. Law enforcement set up a perimeter and used a K-9 to track the men across Park Avenue, east to Thorme Street and into Bridgeport, police said. The search ended at Stratfield Place, where police checked multiple yards but no one was found, according to the report.

One of the suspects was described as white, about 6 feet tall and wearing a ski mask, police said. No crimes were found to have been committed besides trespassing, according to the report.

“An increase in patrols were set up in that area for the evening with hopes of locating the suspects. We encourage all residents to call the police immediately whenever they see something suspicious, or not normal for their area,” Capt. Robert Kalamaras said in a statement.
