Fairfield Women Go For 600th Division I Win in Program History on Thursday against Rider
The Fairfield University women’s basketball program is on the cusp of yet another milestone. On the heels of senior guard Kristin Schatzlein’s 1,000th career point (28th player in Fairfield history) on Sunday, the Stags seek the 600th Division I victory in program annals when they tip off against the Rider University Broncs on Thursday, January 28, at 7:00 PM at Alumni Hall on George Bisacca Court on the university campus.
Fairfield will be closing out a three-game home stand, and looks to extend its record to 18-2 in the series against Rider at home.
Current Fairfield head coach Joe Frager has had 165 of those 599 wins. In his ninth season at the helm of the Stags, He is the only coach in the 35-year history of the MAAC to register eight consecutive winning season in the conference to begin a career.

Averaging 19.5 wins a campaign under Frager’s tutelage prior to the start of this season, Fairfield has attained National post-season play in four of those campaigns.
The Stags have now won three of their last four games after defeating Canisius 52-48 at the Webster Bank Arena on Sunday.

Fairfield looks to sweep the regular season series against the Rider for the third-straight season, and the sixth time in the last seven years. The Stags have dominated the all-time series leading 35-6.
