Fairfield's Boys HS Hockey Team Raises Funds For Operation Hope

The combined Ludlowe and Warde team has launched a GoFundMe page, and is hosting a cornhole tournament at Jennings Beach on Aug. 12.

FAIRFIELD, CT — In an effort to increase the size of its upcoming cornhole tournament donation to Operation Hope, the combined Fairfield high school boys ice hockey team recently launched a GoFundMe page to complement the Aug. 12 event.

"This GoFundMe initiative is for extra donations only from those who either cannot attend the cornhole tournament or those who wish to go the extra mile and support our efforts," wrote Ryan Flynn, who is joined in the effort by fellow team co-captains, Ryan Tymon and Liam Forrest. "Every dollar counts, and this is a worthwhile cause that supports an organization that does so much in our community."

As of Wednesday, the page had generated $595 from 16 donors, toward a goal of $2,000.
