Fairfield's Highest Paid Town Employees: Report

Fairfield Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Title topped the town’s public payroll for 2015 with $293,504 in earnings, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports that Fairfield’s top 25 largest compensation packages was dominated by educators, police and firefighters.

The salaries for many police officers were increased due to retroactive pay increases that went into effect following a contract settlement after members worked for two years without a contract, according to the Citizen.

Police Lt. Jeffrey Bloch was second to Title with earnings totaling $243,948, including $1,334 for outside duty service that is paid by private contractors.

The Citizen reports that First Selectman Michael Tetreau didn’t crack the top 25 highest-paid list with an annual salary of $131,428.
