Family Of Missing Fairfield Teen Thanks All Who Helped In Search

The family of a teen who died recently has written an open letter, thanking those who searched for him and offering a small gift.

We’ve been wracking our brains trying to think of how we can possibly thank all of the people who searched for our son, Bryce, on May 6 and 7, 2020. As much as we struggle to find the words of gratitude, none are adequate.

Thank you to the police officers, firefighters, friends, neighbors, friends of friends, and family for answering the call to tirelessly search for, and ultimately find, our son. Thank you to all those who could not search, but who responded by sending their prayers to light the way.

As a gesture of our gratitude, we invite you to come by our house and pick up a small, potted plant that you might enjoy in memory of Bryce. If you’re so inclined, there will be a registry book to sign so that we may know your names.

The small, potted plants will be placed near our Lego mailbox. In case of bad weather, the bulbs and registry book will be moved to the bench on our breezeway.

So many of you have already sent cards and notes, or stopped by our house, leaving an abundance of food, flowers, and the gift of your company. The contributions of your time and your compassion are helping us through this.
