Five Vehicles Stolen from Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield in Five-Day Span

Five luxury vehicles were stolen from Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield on Commerce Drive during a five-day span last week, the Fairfield Citizen reports.

Amazingly, the dealership was unaware of the thefts until police in New York reported that two vehicles, one with a retail price of $49,800 and another for $74,050, were found on a city street that were traced back to Fairfield, according to the Citizen. The other cars were found in the Bronx.

Officials from the dealership told police they believe someone may have been able to steal the vehicles by using a master key for the cars’ lockboxes, according to the Citizen.
