Flash Flood Warning In Fairfield
With at least an inch of rain already having fallen early Thursday evening, and up to another inch possible, flash flooding remains likely.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield is under a flash flood warning until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, along with the rest of southern Fairfield County, according to the National Weather Service.
The heaviest rain moved out of the area around 6 p.m., but with at least an inch of rain already having fallen early Thursday evening, and up to another inch possible, flash flooding remains likely, the service reported.
Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast overnight, and could generate as much as three-quarters of an inch, with the possibility of gusty winds and heavy rain, according to the service.

Friday will bring a change in the weather, as it is expected to be mostly sunny after 7 a.m.
