Former Fairfield Teacher to Stand Trial for Alleged Sexual Relationship with Student

A judge refused to dismiss the case on Thursday.

Former Fairfield Ludlowe teacher Glenn Mishuck, 47, will stand trial for allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student, a judge ruled Thursday.

Daniel Tepfer of the Connecticut Post reports Judge Maria Kahn refused to dismiss the case after Mishuck’s lawyer argued that the 17 counts of second-degree sexual assault should be tossed out because the alleged relationship took place during the summer when he wasn’t her teacher.

Kahn said that under that argument, Mishuck “is only a school employee for 10 months so then he can have sex all he wants with students the rest of the time,” according to Tepfer.
