Former Fairfield University Chaplain Named in Sexual Abuse Lawsuit

A 26-year-old man has filed a lawsuit saying he was sexually abused as a teenager at a charity in Haiti.

The Rev. Paul Carrier, who was once Fairfield University’s chaplain, was named in a lawsuit Friday by a 26-year-old man who says he was sexually abused as a teenager at a charity in Haiti that was supported by the college, according to the New Haven Register.

The man alleges that he was sexually abused by Douglas Perlitz and Carrier while at Project Pierre Toussaint School in Cap-Haitien and is seeking $20 million.
