Four Fairfield Warde Rugby Players Named To State's U-19 Select Team

Four students from Fairfield Warde were named to the Connecticut Under-19 select team that competed in the  New England Regional All-Star rugby tournament this past weekend.

The local players selected to the squad were seniors Neal Ehlers and Karl Rempel and juniors Myles McQuone and Ben Philpott.

They were chosen based on their play in the high school championships and a recommendation from their coach.

The Connecticut entry finished second in the four-team competion, which included two clubs from Massachusetts and a combined squad from Vermont and Maine.
