Friends of Fairfield Public Library Announce 2nd Comedy Fundraiser

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Friends of Fairfield Public Library will bring back their comedy fundraiser, Laughs at the Library 2, on March 6. The event will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Fairfield Public Library.

Laughs at the Library 2 is produced by Cause You Need a Laugh. The lineup includes headliner Andy Pitz, who has appeared on Late Night with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Pitz is also a frequent presence on SiriusXM’s comedy stations.

Additional performers for the event include several stand-up comics from Connecticut. Emcee Gina O’Connell, Joe Aulogia, and Laurie Yellow Sweater are scheduled to perform. Fairfield residents Eileen Fitzpatrick Fickes and Mat Orefice are also among the featured comedians.

The event is recommended for ages 16 and older. The show will contain "clean" humor with some mild adult content. Attendees are permitted to bring their own food, soft drinks, snacks, and adult beverages. Table seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets for Laughs at the Library 2 are priced at $35, which includes all fees. Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite. Doors for the event will open at 6:30 p.m.

great way to raise money for the Library,” said Michael Foley, Friends President, in a statement. “We are delighted to host some new faces as well as returning favorites, and we invite the public to book a fun night out while supporting their local library’s programs and services!”
