Gaelic American Club to Host Concert for Ovarian Cancer Survivor
A Concert for Noreen Forde Planned in Fairfield on August 1 to Raise Funds for Medical Expenses

A special benefit is being planned for a local woman who is in treatment for ovarian cancer. Funds raised at the event will help with her medical expenses for her on-going treatments. What is being dubbed as “A Concert for Noreen Forde” will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 4 PM to 9 PM at the Gaelic-American Club, 74 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT. The event is open to the public.
John Foley, vice president of the Gaelic-American Club, is spearheading the event with a cadre of Noreen Forde’s friends. “Noreen is a beloved member of our community so we want to show our support for her at this concert,” stated Foley. “As Noreen heals from her ovarian cancer treatments, the last thing we want her to worry about is her medical bills so this event will help a lot,” Foley added.
Musical acts including The McLean Avenue Band, The Jolly Beggars, CAMAC and Ceol agus Craic will be featured. There will be a special performance by the Lenihan Academy of Irish Dance. Donations are being accepted for admission with recommended amounts being $25, $50 and $100. There will be a cash bar, food available for purchase with desserts provided including a Soda Bread Tasting.
