Gas Mask-Wearing Joy Riders Cause Stir in Fairfield: Report
Two town 19-year-olds drove through downtown wearing gas masks and German-style World War II helmets in a beat-up Mercedes.

Two Fairfield 19-year-olds caused a stir Saturday morning when they drove through downtown wearing gas masks and German-style World War II helmets in an older Mercedes that was missing its engine hood, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports the scene alarmed a mother who was pushing her child in a stroller and she called police.
Police issued both men, Benjamin Bernheim and John Perlin, a misdemeanor summons for breach of peace, according to the Citizen.
