Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint In Fairfield: Police

Police were searching the area with K-9s on Monday night, according to officials.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A gas station was robbed at gunpoint Monday night in Fairfield, according to police.

The robbery happened around 7:45 p.m. at the Shell gas station at 1139 Post Rd. in Fairfield.

Police said a man entered the store, held the clerk at gunpoint and demanded cash from the register. He fled the area before officers arrived, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

“As both an investigative and precautionary measure, Police, along with K9’s, are currently conducting a search of the area,” police wrote in a news release around 9 p.m. “At this time, we do not believe there is any further threat to the public. This is an active investigation, updates are pending.”
