Knife-Wielding Man Robs Gas Station In Fairfield: UPDATE

Police release more information on the armed robbery of a gas station on Sunday night.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at Star Gas Station, located at 350 Jennings Road, on Sunday night. Police said the robbery occurred at about 6 p.m. when a white male entered the store, pointed a knife at the clerk and demanded cash.

The clerk handed him an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and the suspect left in an unknown direction. The store video surveillance showed a white man wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt, a bright blue piece of cloth loosely wrapped around his head, and sunglasses enter the store with a black-bladed knife in his hand, according to police.

The suspect, who was described as about 6-feet tall in his 20s or 30s with long brown hair, was holding the sweatshirt collar over his nose as to conceal his face. The suspect also had cuts/scrapes on his hands, according to police.
