Four plays later, QB Nick Morris busted free with an impressive 20 yard run and in for the score (PAT missed). On the Giants 2nd possession, Morris hit Stevenson on a 25 yard TD strike (PAT missed), making the score 12-0 at the end of Q1. The score remained the same at half as things settled in for both teams.
Fairfield would punch in another score to start Q3, as Morris took a QB keeper off tackle and in for the score. Tommy O’Connell would get the PAT, making the score 19-0. The Giants threatened again in Q4, but were stuffed deep in the red zone on two separate attempts.
The stonewall defense led by MLB Charlie Wilcox allowed only 2 first downs all day to the NF Falcons. NF had no answers to the swarming maroon-black-and white! Today’s shutout marks the 3rd consecutive playoff victory without allowing a point to their opponents. D-lineman Peter Strang, Freddy Capossela, Dylan Fragomeni, and Grady Barlett plugged any and all NF running lanes all day long!
