FAIRFIELD, CT — Police are seeking the public’s help to find out who stole three golf carts and left two of them submerged in a stream.

Officers responded about 6:30 a.m. Thursday to the Carl Dickman Par 3 Golf Course, 70 Old Dam Road, in response to a report that golf carts had been stolen overnight, according to a police department news release. Upon arrival, law enforcement found that three golf carts — two gas-powered and one electric — had been stolen from a fenced-in storage area.

Two of the carts were found submerged in a stream on the east side of the course and the third cart was located on a trail behind the public works building, 1 Rod Highway, the news release said.
